AAAHC accredits Ohio GI center — 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted accreditation to the GI Physicians Endoscopy in Ohio earlier this year, according to an AAAHC newsletter.

Here are five things to know about the gastroenterology center:

1. Physicians Endoscopy acquired the center on April 1, 2015 to form a joint venture relationship with physician owners.

2. The ASC has three surgery rooms and provides more than 7,000 procedures annually.

3. The center was opened in 2008 and has Medicare certification in addition to AAAHC accreditation.

4. There are six physicians associated with GI Associates, the physician group with ownership in the center.

5. The physicians are certified in gastroenterology and the center includes three certified nurse practitioners.
