AAAHC accredits Eye Care Consultants: 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care conducted a successful survey for the Eye Care Consultants Surgery Center. Here are five things to know about the ASC:

1. Procedures performed at the center include glaucoma surgery, implantable contact lenses, iStent glaucoma surgery with cataract surgery, refractive surgery and YAG laser procedure.

2. There are three physicians at the center, including Walter H. Egenmaier, OD, who joined in 1993; Matthew M. Boyer, MD, who joined in 2002; and Norman D. Radtke, MD, who focuses on retinal services.

3. The Eye Care Consultants practice launched in 1989 and added the surgery center in 1997.

4. The surgery center is affiliated with AmSurg.

5. The ASC takes many major insurers and Medicare and Medicaid.
