AAAHC accredits 4 NY surgical facilities

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited four facilities in New York during the second half of 2015.

The four surgical facilities include:

1. Mark Fromer, MD, is an ophthalmology surgery center affiliated with Fromer Eye. Dr. Fromer performs LASIK, photo-refractive keractomy and no-stitch cataract surgery.

2. Avicenna ASC, located in the Bronx, includes orthopedic surgery, podiatric surgery, gastroenterology, urology and pain management. Joint Venture Partners opened the center in 2015 in a partnership with Oneida Healthcare.

3. Westmoreland ASC, a surgery center focused on orthopedics with four operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

4. White Plains Ambulatory Surgery Center includes gynecology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, pain management, spine and otolaryngology.
