5 ASC emergency drill tips

Here are five steps to take when running through an ambulatory surgery center emergency drill, according to the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1.    Assess the internal emergency and disaster preparedness plan.
2.    Plan all necessary steps of the drill.
3.    Inform all employees that are participating in the drill.
4.    Perform the drill.
5.    Evaluate how the drill went and consider revising any elements that did not go as planned.
