4 reasons to seek ambulatory endoscopy center accreditation

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy outlined four reasons why ambulatory endoscopy centers should seek accreditation.

Here are the insights they shared:

1. Accreditation is a marketable achievement. Receiving accreditation from an accrediting body shows that the AEC provides the highest quality healthcare.

2. Risk management. Achieving accreditation may decrease the cost of a center's liability insurance coverage.

3. Payer negotiation. Accreditation may help payer negotiations run more smoothly.

4. Business boost. Accreditation may help a center increase business. Examining operations for an accreditation survey can help center evaluate their cash flow and organizational structure.
