Two Anesthesiologists Selected to Lead St. Joseph Medical Center Anesthesia Department

Two anesthesiologists have been selected to lead the new anesthesiology department at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., according to a Kansas City Nursing News report.

Philip Glogover, MD, an anesthesiologist with decades of experience, and Arthur A. Smith, MD, who has practiced anesthesiology for more than 20 years, will serve as interim chairs of the department of anesthesiology. They will be supported by Darlicia Alexander, M.D., current chair of the department of anesthesiology at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, and a staff of seven anesthesiologists and 18 certified registered nurse anesthetists.

The department will provide general, obstetrical and cardiovascular anesthesiology coverage.
