Society for Simulation in Healthcare accredits Mednax’s mobile simulation program — 5 key notes

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare awarded provisional accreditation to Mednax’s mobile simulation program for providing training at nonaffiliated facilities across the U.S.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Mednax offers mobile simulation training for neonatal, anesthesiology and OB hospitalist service lines.

2. Mednax is working on adding additional specialties to its mobile simulation program.

3. The simulation program is one of the only fully mobile programs in the U.S.

4. In addition to the accreditation, Mednax also obtained Health Simulation Educator, Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist and Distinguished CHEST Educator certifications

5. Mednax Director of Simulation Gary Smith said in a release, “We are extremely proud of the SSH designation and the additional certifications our team has achieved in efforts to provide a simulation program of the utmost quality, and we look forward to bringing this valuable training technology to hospitals and practices nationwide.”
