RIVANNA partners with Vertec Scientific to market new anesthesia device: 3 notes

The Charlottesville, Va.-based medical device company RIVANNA has partnered with the United Kingdom-based Vertec Scientific to distribute a new anesthesia device.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Vertec Scientific will market Accuro, an anesthesia device that RIVANNA launched less than a year ago.

2. Accuro is the first ultrasound-based system designed to guide anesthesiologists when applying spinal and epidural anesthesia.

3. The device provides automated measurements of spinal midline and epidural depth to aid in anesthesia administration to patients with high BMIs or otherwise challenging anatomy.
