Here are six things to know:
1. The collaborative consists of 44 healthcare organizations.
2. Seventy-three percent of participants successfully launched one or more PSH pilot programs during the first phase.
3. The majority of participants reported success in improving clinical quality, controlling costs and/or enhancing patient experiences.
4. For example, Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus decreased pharmacy costs by 32 percent and overall costs by 53 percent.
5. In addition to the outcomes data, collaborative participants also developed and tested a set of common metrics to assess the impact of the PSH model.
6. The second phase of the collaborative will launch April 1.
