PhyMed Healthcare Group, a Nashville, Tenn.-based anesthesia and pain management service provider, has named Sam Nussbaum, MD, to its board.
Here's what you need to know about Dr. Nussbaum:
1. He has leadership experience related to population health, health outcomes, care management, data analytics and medical policy, among other specialties.
2. He previously served as the executive vice president of clinical health policy and as the chief medical officer for Anthem.
3. He is a member of the Guiding Committee of the Learning and Action Network, a public-private initiative established by HHS.
4. He is a senior fellow at the University of Southern California Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics.
