Dr. Valerie Elizabeth Armstead joins Fox Chase Cancer Center: 3 things to know

Philadelphia-based Fox Chase Cancer Center has added Valerie Elizabeth Armstead, MD, as a professor in its department of anesthesiology.

Here’s what you need to know about Dr. Armstead:

1. She has experience in laboratory work and clinical research.

2. She previously served as a staff anesthesiologist at Cooper University Hospital and as a professor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, both of which are located in Camden, N.J.

3. She completed an anesthesiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. She performed two fellowships: a pediatric anesthesiology and critical care fellowship at University of Washington in Seattle and a pediatric cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
