NAPA Anesthesiologist Dr. Sanjoy Joshi Participates in Life-Saving Surgery for Afghan Boy

North American Partners in Anesthesia announced that affiliated pediatric anesthesiologist Sanjoy Joshi, MD, was part of the medical team that enabled Bilal Sharif, a boy from Afghanistan, to have life-saving surgery.

The 7-year-old boy was born with part of his bladder on the outside of his body. After almost six hours in the operating room, the surgery was declared successful and the boy’s bladder and organs were fully restored.
