Kenneth Haselby, MD, an anesthesiologist in Battle Ground, Ind., has died at age 84, according to an obituary published by Legacy.com.
Dr. Haselby earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from West Lafayette, Ind.-based Purdue University in 1964. He went on to earn his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, followed by an anesthesia residency.
He later joined the ranks at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis, where he served as assistant director of pediatric anesthesia for 18 years working in the OR, ICU and research. He also served as associate professor of anesthesia at Indiana University.
He later became chief of anesthesia at Wishard Memorial Hospital, now known as Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, a role he served in for 12 years. He was named professor emeritus of anesthesia at Indiana University when he retired in 2006.
