GE HealthCare debuts new anesthesia system

Chicago-based GE HealthCare has introduced its Carestation 850, an anesthesia delivery system designed to meet evolving clinical and operational demands. 

The system will be showcased Oct. 10–14 at the American Society of Anesthesiologists’s annual meeting in San Antonio, according to an Oct. 9 system news release. 

The device, which is currently pending 510(k) clearance from the FDA, includes customizable tools, an ergonomic design and improved data displays to support more precise and efficient anesthesia care. It received approval in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The system was developed to help anesthesia teams manage increasingly complex surgeries and workforce challenges, according to the release.
