Dr. Michael Hicks to serve as UNT Health Science Center’s EVP of clinical affairs

Michael Hicks, MD, joined the University of North Texas Health Science Center as its executive vice president for clinical affairs.

Dr. Hicks, an anesthesiologist, was the co-founder, president and board chairman of DFW Anesthesia Associates, which eventually became Dallas-based Pinnacle Partners in Medicine. He has also previously served as regional medical director for Hospital Corporation of America’s Ambulatory Surgery Division and CEO of EmCare Anesthesia Services.

Dr. Hicks is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Preventive Medicine, and he is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
