Dr. Claude Brunson receives 2015 Diversity Educator of the Year award

Claude Brunson, MD, was recognized as the 2015 Diversity Educator of the Year by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of the State Institutions of Higher Learning, according to an ASA report.

Dr. Brunson is the senior advisor for external affairs to the vice chancellor for health affairs and dean of the school of medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he is a professor of anesthesiology. He also serves as president of the Mississippi State Medical Association and ASA director for the Mississippi Society of Anesthesiologists.
