Dr. Anne Schierl passes away at 86

Retired Stevens Point, Wis.-based anesthesiologist Anne Schierl, MD, has died. She was 86 years old, WSAW 7 reports.

Dr. Schierl received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. She retired in 1989 and became a founding member of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, Wis.

Dr. Schierl provided scholarships for freshmen at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.
