ASRA receives $270k for pain research grant: 4 observations

The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine recently received grants totaling $270,000 for the ASRA Chronic Pain Research Grant.

Here are four observations:

1. St. Jude Medical Foundation pledged a grant totaling $150,000; Medtronic pledged a grant of $100,000; and Stryker has provided a $20,000 grant.

2. The Chronic Pain Research Grant supports studies in pain medicine that will guide clinical practice.

3. The grant is awarded biennially.

4. ASRA is a professional member organization of more than 4,000 physicians and healthcare providers.
