Dr. Abenstein is an associate professor of anesthesiology at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. He focuses on cardiac anesthesiology and biomedical engineering. He completed a cardiovascular anesthesiology fellowship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, which has since closed.
