Anesthesiologist pay increased by 1 percent over the past year, according to the Medscape Anesthesiologist Compensation Report 2016.

•    Southwest — $385,000
•    Southeast — $369,000
•    South Central — $365,000
•    Great Lakes — $364,000
•    West — $354,000
•    Northeast — $348,000    
•    Northwest — $344,000
•    Mid-Atlantic — $342,000

Note: Nearly 19,200 physicians in over 26 specialties responded to the survey.
