Dr. Coombs formerly served as president of the Massachusetts Medical Society and helped to establish the New England Medical Association. Her term with MedPAC will run from May 2012 through May 2015.
Comprised of 17 members serving three-year terms, MedPAC is an independent agency of Congress that is tasked with advising on Medicare issues.
