Anesthesia Care Team Employee Sentenced to Six Months for Organized Fraud

A former employee of Anesthesia Care Team Inc., based in Ocala, Fla., was sentenced to six months in jail on Wednesday for pleading guilty to charges of organized fraud, according to an Ocala report.

Eren Nicole Dilley confessed to her superiors that she fraudulently issued checks with patients' names and cashed them for herself. According to the report, the checks were purportedly refunds to patients who had scheduled services from the medical office but never received them.

Ms. Dilley had allegedly been stealing from the company from Feb. 2008 to sometime in 2000. According to the report, Ms. Dilley issued 101 checks totaling $65,920.89.

Ms. Dilley was sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years probation. She must also pay more than $50,000 in restitution to the medical office in addition to felony court costs.
