The American Society of Anesthesiologists has named James C. Eisenach, MD, winner of the 2013 Excellence in Research Award, according to a Winston-Salem Journal report.
Dr. Eisenach is a professor of obstetrical and gynecological anesthesiology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is editor-in-chief of Anesthesiology. He has received more than $21 million in National Institutes of Health support and $2 million in industry support for research.
