6 things to know about American Society of Anesthesiologists’ new executive

The American Society of Anesthesiologists named Roseanne Fischoff as the new Perioperative Surgical Home executive, according to newswise.

Here are six things to know:

1. The PSH is a “patient-centered, physician-led, multidisciplinary team-based model of coordinated care.”

2. Under this model, patients receive a continuum of care from preop to recovery.

3. Ms. Fischoff will create policies and implement operations to move the PSH model forward as a sustainable care model.

4. She will also help with the development of services and products for ASA members to utilize the PSH model.

5. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Fischoff was the director of science, quality and practice for the American Academy of Dermatology.

6. Ms. Fischoff has a Master of Public Policy, with a healthcare policy concentration.
