1. Dr. Rosenberg received the award in recognition of his efforts to advance patient safety through his work in identifying and treating patients with malignant hyperthermia.
2. He is director of medical education and clinical research at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.
3. He is president and co-founder of the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States.
4. He is a past president of the Philadelphia Society of Anesthesiologists. He also served as a senior examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology.
5. Dr. Rosenberg completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
