Here’s what you should know about him:
1. Dr. Axen will be responsible for overseeing anesthesia services in all CareMount operating rooms and procedural suites. He’ll also evaluate surgical performance across those sites.
2. He joined CareMount in 2006, previously serving as the associate medical director and director of anesthesia services.
3. Additionally, Dr. Axen will continue to actively provide clinical services at all of CareMount Medical’s locations, including its two ASCs.
4. He earned his medical degree from Newark-based Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He completed his internship at Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System and his residency at New York City-based New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center.
