Envision to buy Nashville Anesthesia Services, sliding into new market
Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision Corp.’s Physician Services platform plans to purchase anesthesia group Nashville Anesthesia Services. NAS is the exclusive anesthesia services provider to Smyrna, Tenn.-based StoneCrest Medical Center, Nashville-based Southern Hills Medical Center and three Nashville-area ASCs.

Surgery Center of the Pacific gets green light to add pain management procedures for $100K
Honolulu, Hawaii-based Surgery Center of the Pacific’s certificate of need to add pain management procedures was approved. The maximum capital expenditure for the services expansion is $100,000.

Northstar Anesthesia sues Metrosouth Medical Center for $1.25M
Irving, Texas-based Northstar Anesthesia filed a lawsuit alleging Blue Island, Ill.-based Metrosouth Medical Center refused to pay for more than $1.25 million worth of anesthesia services provided. The anesthesiology services company filed the complaint Sept. 4, citing alleged breach of contract.

Community rallies to support Southern Tier Anesthesiologists
Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital’s decision to drop Olean-based Southern Tier Anesthesiologists was met with an outpouring of community support for the local anesthesia provider. Read more.
