Here are six new ASCs, outpatient centers and medical office buildings that have opened, broken ground or been planned in the Northeast, as reported by Becker’s since April 10:
- Two physicians affiliated with Buffalo (N.Y.) Spine & Sports Medicine filed plans to open a standalone ASC in Amherst, N.Y.
- The Empire Center for Special Surgery on Staten Island opened in New York.
- Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine broke ground on a multispecialty outpatient center in Montgomeryville, Pa.
- Portland, Maine-based physician-owned practice, InterMed, is opening a medical office building and an ASC in Scarborough, Maine.
- The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction opened a new facility in Red Bank, N.J.
- New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery opened new ASCs in Paramus and Mahwah, both in New Jersey.
