Here are five hospitals and health systems investing in their outpatient strategy, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System has announced more than $460 million in new capital projects across the state, one of which will be a $48 million outpatient center in Bridgeport, W.Va.,
2. Los Angeles-based University of Southern California’s Keck Medicine will open a four-story, 100,000-square-foot medical office building in Pasadena later this year. The new center will offer a range of service lines including care for autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, oncology, infusion therapy, orthopedics and spine, outpatient imaging and surgery, pain management and physical therapy.
3. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery has opened new ASCs in Paramus and Mahwah, both in New Jersey.
4. Orlando Health has opened the Winter Garden (Fla.) Surgery Center. The 11,000-square-foot ASC features three operating rooms and 12 pre- and post-operative care bays. Physicians at the center offer urology, podiatry, pain management and orthopedic surgery.
5. Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., has purchased a $5.6 million medical office building and 15 acres of land adjacent to its main campus. The 19,000-square-foot medical office building will house several specialties, including a sleep disorder clinic and wound center.
