Atrium submitted a certificate-of-need application for the $25.06 million ASC in August. The plan includes shifting two operating rooms from Baptist’s Ardmore campus to the proposed ASC.
Written comments may be submitted to the health department’s Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section by Oct. 1.
The ASC is projected to open in May 2026, with the operating rooms following in July 2026, according to the report.
The 242,000-square-foot location would serve ophthalmology, otolaryngology and plastic surgery patients and would be led by Craig Greven, MD, chairman of the medical school’s ophthalmology department.
The ASC would have two non-licensed minor procedure rooms, a LASIK procedure room, 20 recovery rooms and nurse stations, operating room support spaces and a reception and business area, the report said.
