Implantless eye surgery device gets FDA nod, nears market release

Eye device company New World Medical has received FDA clearance for its implant-free Streamline goniotomy system and is nearing full commercial release, Ophthalmology Times reported March 1.

The Streamline system is a single-use device that can be used as a standalone procedure or in concert with cataract surgery, the report said. It is expected to be fully available by April 1.
