Outcomes Matter Innovations, Horizon Health Services launch value-based care model for eye patients

 
Outcomes Matter Innovations and Horizon Health Services launched a value-based model focusing on improving care and reducing costs for Horizon members, according to a Dec. 9 announcement.

The model focuses on patients with retinal disease, the release said. It will provide clinicians with information to make decisions while tracking cost of care in real time. OMI’s point of care technology aggregates data and uses AI and machine learning to assist physicians.

“A transformative business model is core to the OMI offering to ensure quality outcomes are maintained or improved while total cost of care is reduced,” Andrew Pecora, MD, CEO and chair of OMI, said in the release.
