Envision creates wellness initiative for clinicians, employees

Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision Healthcare created a wellness initiative to help its more than 40,000 clinicians and employees adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiatives include:

  • Daily wellness coaching and stress management
  • Daily videoconferences on community support that end with guided meditation
  • Crisis peer-support training
  • Counseling for clinicians who have been deployed back to work in COVID-19 hot spots

“Keeping clinicians safe and healthy is critical to treating coronavirus patients and mitigating the spread of COVID-19,” said Stefanie Simmons, MD, Envision’s vice president of patient and clinician engagement.
