Geisinger, Highmark Health building specialty clinic — 3 insights

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health and Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health broke ground on a medical clinic in Lock Haven, Pa., Oct. 31.

What you should know:

1. The joint venture is building a two-story medical clinic with a walk-in urgent care center, adult and pediatric primary care offices, and other ancillary services.

2. The system will provide access to an array of specialties, including gastroenterology, dermatology, cardiology, surgery and women’s health.

3. The systems plan to open the clinic in early 2021.
