7 new ophthalmology centers in 2019

Here are seven ophthalmology centers opened or announced in 2019:

1. Rockingham Eye Surgery Center, a newly established limited liability company, is seeking approval to establish an ophthalmic ASC in Harrisonburg, Va.

2. A new Roanoke Valley Center for Sight location opened in Martinsville, Va., Sept. 26.

3. Rochester, N.Y.-based Cornerstone Eye Associates broke ground on a new ASC.

4. Acuity Eye Group has opened two eye clinics in the South Bay, Calif., area.

5. Johnson City, N.Y.-based Binghamton ASC plans to open a single-specialty surgery center in Vestal, N.Y., for nearly $34 million. If approved, the ASC would have two operating rooms and one procedure room devoted to ophthalmology.

6. Industry, Calif.-based IQ Laser Vision plans to open a surgery center in Riverside, Calif.

7. Greenville, S.C.-based Jervey Eye Group opened a new facility for advanced intraocular surgery and eye care services.
