The new group has 90 providers all together, including 22 physicians from Excelsior Orthopaedics, nine surgeons from Northtowns Orthopedics and one surgeon that previously practiced at Buffalo Orthopaedic Group, all based in New York and focused on musculoskeletal care. The group is now operating as Excelsior Orthopaedics, which has seven offices in Western New York.

The larger group has expanded services as well, including onsite diagnostic testing, urgent care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and outpatient surgery.

The group partners with several local high schools to provide care to athletes and is the official team doctor of the Buffalo Bisons minor league baseball team.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
