The surgery was scheduled to take place at Loveland, Colo.-based Banner Surgery Center on Oct. 11. The ASC offers orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, urology and pain management services.

Phoenix-based Banner Health entered into a business venture with Atlas Healthcare Partners in 2018, according to consolidated financial statements reported by Ernst & Young.

Through the agreement, Banner holds a 75 percent controlling interest and Atlas holds a 25 percent noncontrolling interest in Banner’s ASCs. Atlas manages the ASCs through a management service agreement.

“The comfortable and convenient outpatient surgery center setting makes for high quality, lower cost of care for complex surgeries like the one we’re gearing up for tomorrow,” Atlas said in an Oct. 10 LinkedIn post. “Preparation is one component that ensures we can deliver exceptional care and outstanding customer service.”
