Cape Regional Health System received a $2 million donation from Thomas Brodesser Jr. to support Cape Regional Surgery Center, the Cape May County Herald reports.

1. The Cape May Court House, N.J.-based health system is in the process of building a surgery center.

2. Cape Regional is naming the center the Claire C. Brodesser Surgery Center, after Mr. Brodesser Jr.’s late wife.

3. Construction began in the late spring of 2019. Administrators expect the center to open in summer 2020.
