The new name is a placeholder until the health systems can create a new one through a rebranding process that will be completed later this summer. The complete consolidation may take up to two years and is expected to create 500 jobs.
The acquisition includes expansion of inpatient and outpatient services at the Doctors Community Health System campus, as well as further investment in women’s health, maternity and behavior health programs.
The expansion of services is being funded by a $138 million investment from Anne Arundel.
