The AAAHC is looking for healthcare professionals who serve as AAAHC surveyors to join the governance units. As AAAHC members, they must have completed 10 surveys within the last five years, including three as a chairperson, to be eligible to apply. They must have also completed one surveyor retraining program.
“The governance units will help AAAHC provide peer-reviewed, evidence-based standards that are facility-specific and advance the standards of care all 1,095 days of the accreditation terms,” said Noel Adachi, the association’s CEO.
The volunteer positions last for one year, and members may serve up to eight years. The terms are scheduled to begin Jan. 1 and end Dec. 31.
