What you should know:
1. ASGE recognized Mr. Ichikawa for his efforts to advance endoscopy education and develop new endoscopic technologies during his 38-year career at Olympus America. He worked at Olympus for 43 years, retiring in 2007.
2. This is the first time ASGE awarded an industry-facing recognition.
3. ASGE bestowed the honor at the 2019 Crystal Awards Ceremony held May 19 in San Diego.
