Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision Healthcare appointed Douglas Smith, MD, president of Envision Physician Services, the first time a physician has held the title.

Massachusetts-based providers ASC Holding Co., Reliant and Shields ASC partnered to turn a 13,000-square-foot building into an ASC.

Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates’ Litchfield Hills Surgery Center is celebrating its 14-year anniversary. Both organizations are based in Torrington, Conn.

Tenet-affiliated Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.) is building a two-story, 40,000-square-foot medical office building for $13.3 million adjacent to its main hospital.
