1. Previously, patients were only able to undergo total knee and hip arthroplasty procedures at the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Hospital.
2. The Brighton Center for Specialty Care was opened in September 2018, and has four operating rooms.
3. Andrew Urquhart, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and service chief of hip and knee replacement for Michigan Medicine said, “We’re very excited to offer our patients in Livingston County the ability to have these procedures in their own community, instead of having to commute to the hospital.”
