Anesthesiologist to know: Dr. George Vaida of NYU Langone Robotic Surgery Center

George T. Vaida, MD, leads New York City-based NYU Langone Robotic Surgery Center’s anesthesia team.

A board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Vaida serves as the HCC2 Surgical Suite’s medical director and anesthesia director. He is also a clinical associate professor in the anesthesiology, perioperative care and pain medicine department.

Dr. Vaida’s published works include research on postamputation phantoms, anesthesthetic complications in urologic surgery and prolongation of lidocaine spinal anesthesia with phenylephrine.

Dr. Vaida underwent residency training at NYU Medical Center and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, both in New York City.
