Here are six hospitals and health systems that opened or announced ASCs in December:

Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare held a ribbon cutting for BelleHarbour Surgery Center in Suffolk, Va., in December.

Glendale-based Ascension Wisconsin won approval for its $42 million Ascension Ambulatory Surgery Center in Mount Pleasant, Wis.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based UPMC Pinnacle expects to open a new hospital with an attached outpatient surgery center in August 2019.

Gainesville, Ga.-based Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking state approval to build an ASC in Braselton, Ga.

The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved the final site, operation and zoning plans for Milwaukee-based Advocate Aurora Health’s $130 million ASC and medical office building.

Nashville, Tenn.-based TriStar Health System filed an application to construct a medical office building and ASC in Brentwood, Tenn.
