Here are five insights:

1. The new ADR reporting feature is sold as an add-on to Provation MD, the company’s procedure documentation and coding solution.

2. The new feature rapidly generates ADR reports through pathology integration. Pathology results automatically show up in the form, eliminating the need to manually enter data to calculate physicians’ ADRs.

3. ADRs are an important quality indicator for national value-based performance initiatives. ADR helps satisfy gastroenterology reporting criteria for the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System, as well as eligibility criteria for participation in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program.

4. Studies show a patient’s risk of colon cancer decreases by 3 percent for every 1 percent increase in a physician’s ADR.

5. Provation serves about 1,000 ASCs and 1,500 hospitals, including 16 top hospitals for gastroenterology in the U.S.

Springfield-based Oregon Endoscopy Center tested Provation’s automated ADR functionality to streamline the practice’s ADR calculation and reporting process.

“Accurate and efficient quality measures reporting is critical to successful positioning in today’s physician practices,” said Provation President and CEO David Del Toro. “The addition of the ADR reporting feature demonstrates Provation’s ongoing commitment to improving physician workflows and providing the vital technology support needed for optimal care delivery and clinical performance.”
