Dr. Michael Kang performs Long Island’s 1st TKRs in freestanding ASC

Michael Kang, MD, performed two total knee replacements at the Greenvale, N.C.-based East Hills Surgery Center, the first to be performed in a free-standing ASC in Long Island, according to Regent Surgical Health.

The East Hills Surgery Center is a 15,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC that opened last November. It was designed to accommodate procedures such as spinal surgeries and total joint replacement.

The center was built in partnership with New York City-based St. Francis Hospital/Catholic Health Services of Long Island and Regent Surgical Health.
