Construction is complete on the 81,000-square foot Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion, Gresham, Smith and Partners reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based surgery and wellness center is anchored by a 16,000-square-foot ASC.

2. The ASC features a registration area, a pre-testing area, 18 preoperative and postoperative bays, five operating rooms and a centralized nurse station. It also includes sterile processing and clean storage areas.

3. The building’s second story offers traditional medical services, a fitness area and rehabilitation centers.

4. The facility provides preventative care services and includes tenant spaces for physicians’ offices and wellness-focused services.

5. GS&P designed the building with a focus on patient safety, operational efficiencies, integration of technology, adaptability, sustainability and human experience. The ASC is designed in a loop to prevent preoperative and postoperative patients from crossing paths.
