1. Dr. Scherer most recently practiced at Dartmouth Hitchcock-Nashua, where he was medical director.
2. He has more than 15 years of leadership experience.
3. Dr. Scherer earned his medical degree from New York City-based The State University of New York Health Science Center. He completed an internship and residency at Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and a fellowship at Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic.
4. He succeeds Kenneth Howe, MD, who retired from his role as CMO.
