Driscoll Children’s Hospital raises $980k for new pediatric ICU, outpatient surgery center

A Jan. 26 fundraiser for Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Children’s Hospital raised more than $980,000. The money will go toward the hospital’s new North Pavilion, which will house a new pediatric intensive care unit and a new outpatient surgery center, according to KIII News.

The Fiesta de los Niños fundraiser held at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi featured silent, bid-board and live auctions, a barbecue dinner and live entertainment by country music artist and Corpus Christi native Roger Creager.

Flint Hills Resources was the title sponsor.
